Summer 2011
Like everyone else in Texas we are definitely not enjoying the drought that is plaguing all of Texas. Luckily our pastures have held up pretty well with the few little rains we have had throughout the summer.
New residents include:
Maggie Mae - an 18 yr. old QH from Weatherford Texas that suffers from asthma and other ailments. She is doing quite well with daily medications and special handling of her stabling to cut down on dust and other irritants.
Beau - a 20 yr. old TB from Dallas is thriving with his new girl friend Promise. It was like "instant love" when he was put in the pasture with her. Never seen anything like it..................
Chanel - a 20 yr. old QH was welcomed back after an absence of many years with her owners in Houston. She is out with her son, Caliente, and it is a very heartwarming sight to see them together after so many years.
Magic - an 18 yr. old, 17h. TB was also a return visitor, but just for the summer while his owner went to help with a new grandchild on the way. He is a great old gentleman and always a pleasure to have.
